Jon Hello. My chopper blade (8268383) on my kitchenaid dishwasher recently broke after 10 years of trouble-free service. The replacement blade I got at the appliance store is not making contact with the screen. This was a red flag to me but I assembled it anyway. Sure enough, in less than 2 weeks the screen was jammed with gunk, dishes were dirty, etc. Doesn’t the blade have to be in contact with the screen in order to grind the food and keep the screen clear? That’s how my old one always was and it worked perfectly. Thank you??
