Chris for Model Number KSRA25ILSS02 I was told by a repair man I need a new board for the fridge. Is this a wise investment considering the fridge is !2 years old? Freezer and icemaker work great. Does not blow air into fridge from freezer. I did change filter, vacuumed underneath and unplugged for 24 hours and still not working. If I need a new main control board, how easy is it to install myself? Is there a YouTube video that you know of that can show step by step? How quickly can I get part? Thanks for your help!
Answer Chris, The electronic control board for your unit is part number 8201658. While there is no video for this part, it is relatively easy to replace. You will want to unplug the unit and on the left wall at the top there will be a Phillips head screw, remove the screw and cover. There will then be 4 screws under the control which are 1/4" hex head, there will be 1 on each side and then 2 on the back. You will remove these screws and pull the control housing forward. Disconnect the wiring to the control board and pull out the housing from the unit. Once the housing is removed you will need to peel off the control display cover, the part comes with a new one, and remove the screw on either side behind it.
