Dave for Model Number GHW9400PW0 We have an 8 year old Duet HT washer (GHW9400PW0). We are getting intermittent door lock failures; the door will not lock when starting the machine I have been able to temporarily fix the problem by removing the top of the machine and either removing and reinserting the door lock wiring connector to the CCU or by jostling the connection. It is starting to happen more often. The next step seems to be either replacing the CCU or the wiring harness. Which one is the more likely problem? Is there a cheaper solution? Our fear is that a some point the jostling will not fix the problem.
Answer Dave, You will want to pull the wire harness and door lock and make sure that the connections are clean and that there are no loose connections. If this does not correct then depending on how the connectors look it may be necessary to replace both harness and lock assembly. Read More...
