Traildad for Model Number Whirlpool wtw5100vq0 My agitator barely moves while washing. When turned off I can move the lower agitator by hand. It seems to spin and drain ok. I have replaced the entire agitator assembly and the motor/transmission coupler. I first noticed the problem when it was making a loud noise when washing. Should I be able to move it by hand? Does that mean the transmission is bad?
Answer Traildad, The agitator bottom should not move by hand and if you can move it bay hand then this will be a transmission issue in which the transmission will need to be replaced. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Wednesday, December 29, 2021
