This Icemaker Assembly is an OEM replacement for Whirlpool refrigerators. It is responsible for producing ice cubes, providing you with a convenient and steady supply of ice. Fits models that have the icebucket in the door. The bottom mounting bracket on the old icemaker must be reused.

Chris, The icemaker part number for your unit is 2198597. You will want to check the light on the right wall when you open the freezer door for it flashing. If it is not flashing the push on the light switch and see if it is. If it is not then replace the emitter board. If the light is flashing when you open the door then push on the flapper on the left side and see if it continues to flash, no flash but solid would be good. If it continues to flash then the issue will be the emitter board W11629974. Also check the fill tube on the icemaker to see if it is clogged. If this checks ok then you will want to replace the icemaker.
