Dwade for Model Number ED5LHAXMB10

My ice maker was producing ice in the ice maker assembly try but it was not dispensing ice into the bucket in the door. I got a new ice maker assembly from this website. Very nice site & great pricing. Anyway, I replaced the ice maker assembly & now I don't ice at all. It's almost as if the water isn't running. I was careful to make certain the black rubber hose on the right side of the ceiling was dropped into the ice maker assembly. It made ice before replacing. In fact, I had to remove ice cubes from the original ice maker. Could I have done anything wrong during replacement? Any tips?? Thank you!

Answer

Dwade, When initially installing the icemaker you have to give the unit several hours to start producing ice. If it still has not produced then check the emitter board. When you open the door, on the right side there will be a flashing light. If you then push the flap on the left wall the light should glow solid. If it is not glowing solid but continues to blink then this will be a faulty emitter board which will need replaced. The part number for this board is W11629974.
