Kevin for Model Number KSCS25FVMS00 Ice maker not making ice. I purchased the new ice maker assembly from Part #2198597 , installed it but it still won’t produce ice. The unit was unplugged then plugged back in to reset the ice making cycle. Water valve sends water to water dispenser and to old ice maker assembly. What else do I need to check or do? Water line is not frozen or clogged. Temperature is at 0F and allowed it to cycle for more than 72 hrs.
Answer Hello Kevin, thanks for reaching out to AppliancePartsPros.com You will need to check voltage to the ice maker. At the ice maker, on the black wire w/ white trace to the solid white wire you should be getting at least 110v AC w/ the door switch closed and the ice level sensor tricked to read the bucket as in place and empty. If the voltage is present but below 110v at all then the ice maker will not cycle. If this is the case or if there is no voltage present, you may have a bad ice level sensor, both boards of the ice level sensor are included w/ W11629974. Read More...
