Chad for Model Number KSRL25FRWH00 Serial# SS4728750 I ordered an ice maker on the order number below. The ice maker was installed and made ice for about half a day. Now it will not make ice. The ice tray fills up with water and freezes like it should. The photo eye light flashes twice and has a slight pause before flashing twice, etc... This is a Kitchen Aid KSRL25FRWH00 Serial# SS4728750. Please advise what test I can do to determine the problem. Thanks
Answer Chad, When you open the freezer door, if the LED is flashes twice then pauses, press in on the emitter paddle(left side of compartment). If the LED still flashes twice then a pause you'll need to replace the emitter board kit W11629974. The I/R emitter sensor system controls the ice maker, if the emitter and receiver "thinks" the ice bin is full, the ice maker stops making ice. Read More...
