Mitch for Model Number ARS2667AB I have an Amana side by side that will run for awhile, then stop and everything defrost. After about 12 hours everything starts again. The repairman said the coils needed cleaning, so he cleaned the coil and it started again and ran for about 24 hrs. He came back and did better cleaning and added Freon, that didn't help any. He said the compressor is over heating and cause the system to shut down. Do I need a new compressor?
Answer Hello Mitch, If the compressor is running hot and the coils are clean, I would change the start relay WP10097202 since a failing relay can cause the compressor to run hot.
