Sara M. for Model Number KUIS185JSSO Ice maker control board replaced as diagnosed by repairman. The machine is getting warm inside and the outside where the compressor is gets hot. Both fan and compressor are working. The repairman checked for low Freon but it was good. Do you think it's the compressor or some other problem?
Answer Hello Sara, If the inside of the unit is warming up, there is probably no issue with the icemaker since it will not cycle if the cycling thermostat does not achieve 20°F or lower. If the compressor is getting hot it is normally an indication of a sealed system restriction which prevents the circulation of Freon and loads the compressor, causing it to overheat.
