Tc for Model Number kudg25shbl1 Our dishwasher is dead. I checked the fuse and the switch and it is good. I checked the terminals out of the circuit board and had the top six (or 7)(as many buttons as there is for power) that had voltage when the switch was closed. I checked with direct current set at 20 and the readings were .80 for every terminal. I am not sure what the readings should be, I suspect a bad touchpad. We have had multiple power surges at out house the last few years. Do you belive it is a touchpad? that I need to order, also can you use a surge protector on the dishwasher?
Answer Hello TC. If the buttons close for continuity when pressed, and the fuse is good, you will need to replace the board in the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
