I just replace the water inlet valve due to water not filling the machine. Since I disconnected the power from the machine do I need to reprogram the security code on the machine. ( like a car) If there is a code for reprogrammation what is it? I called whirlpool and I could not believe it she said we can't help you.. Answer Hello Paul. This is not a pay for the answer site and there is no code for the unit. If the control panel is working for the cancel, but not working for the start/resume button, it sounds like the control panle WPW10021710 may be bad and will need to be replaced. Test the ribbon cable from the control panel P1-12 and P1-4 for continuity when the start/resume button is pressed on the unit. It should read closed. If not, you will need to replace the control panel. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter.
