Sandi for Model Number MAYTAG LSE1000 The washer and dryer run perfectly, no problems except the dryer will not heat. It is no the thermal fuse and everything else has power going to it so what else can it be? Is it worth purchasing a new control panel and trying it?
Answer Sandi, Don't start at the control board, not yet anyway. You need to check the heater relay WP306199 to see if it closes, and sends 120 VAC to the heater element 314503 and check the heater element for a "closed" circuit with a multi meter. Or visually inspect it for breaks, especially in the area of the insulators. The heater relay is mounted to the side of the "pedestal" where the motor mounts to the cabinet base. Read More...
