Bonnie for Model Number SE1000 Just got the replacement electronic control board (WP33001048) for my SE1000 washer. Any tips on ease in replacing this part? I could not find a How To Video online. Thanks
Answer Bonnie, Make sure you remove power to the stack set before you do anything. Remove the two screws from the bottom control panel trim and pivot it up and off the front panel. Remove the three 1/4 inch hex head screws from the key pad bracket, label or mark the wire connectors and remove them from the board. Place the assembly on a clean padded surface, disconnect the keypad ribbon from the control board and remove the six 3/8 inch nuts and lift the control board off the key pad bracket assembly. While you have it apart, use some rubbing alcohol and clean off the end of the keypad ribbon. Also apply a thin coat of dielectric grease along the edge of the wire connectors at the control board, this will help keep moisture, debris and corrosion from developing on or in the connectors and control board.
