Dave L Kl for Model Number MAH4000AWQ washer filled & started cycle, run 30sec.& pop everything stopped. Door not locked. opened top and removed wax timer, it smelled burned. plunger pulled all the way back. ohmed open. So because of info on internet I looked at circuit board. resistor R11 was not burned but Z2 was and the trace on bottom was crinkled. What does resistor Z2 affect?
Answer Dave, We no longer have a diagram / schematic, but if we remember correctly the Z2 circuit is related to the fill valve. You'll need to check the solenoids and wiring to the fill valve, especially the neutral and grounding wires. With the damaged tracers, especially the lower four tracers, you'll need to replace the control board, and check the wire harness connection pins to make sure they're not loose or dislodged and making contacts on two tracers, Read More...
