Don for Model Number cdb1500awb3 I have this model of dishwasher. It washes dishes 2 times then nothing on the control panel. No power at all. Then unplug it 2 days then it works again for 2 more washes. Have bought 2 control boards and they did the same thing so must be a glitch in the control panel. I have checked online and seen numerous other people have the same problem. Whirlpool just tells me it's out of warranty a few months and I have to buy a new control board which I have done as well as other people and have the same problem. So now what do I do? Throw out a dishwasher thats was 14 months old when I bought it and whirlpool doesn't want the responsibility for the problem. Any one have answers? Thank you.
Answer Hello Don. When the unit shuts off. Are there any lights blinking on the control panel? If not, you will want to check all the wires and the connectors for broke, burnt or loose wires. Also, you may have a problem with the control panel WP6-919809 on the unit. When it shuts off, disconnect the power and remove the ribbon cable from the control board and reseat it.
