Gary for Model Number 7GS2SHEXPL03 My refrigerator starts to build frost on the air duct exits at the fridge side then at the freezer side. The fridge side its not cold enough due to the blocking of frost in the ducts and the freezer is very cold due to this blocking. I changed the defrost relay and check the resistor and is all well... I'm thinking that maybe is the air damper, Can you help me?
Answer Gary, This type of issue would be more likely an air leak from outside the unit causing condensation that is building up and freezing the air ducts. You will want to check the door seals and the dispenser door to make sure that they do not have air leaks. As far as removing the damper control you would remove the cover over the damper and in the freezer remove the icemaker and the duct at the top of the unit that goes to the icemaker. There will be 4 tabs you have to release in the corner for the damper control to come out of the unit. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, December 4, 2017
