Amanda for Model Number Whirlpool Duet Dryer GEW9200 (about 11 years old) There are certain settings that will not work on my dryer. Just shows a line across the digital read out on the front. Also, even on the heavy duty cycle my clothes are still damp when the dryer turns off. I unplugged it over night and the controls worked properly for about a day. Now doing the same thing and still not drying properly. I had the electrical part checked out and he said all was putting out the correct voltage on the dryer. Do I need to purchase a new Control Board. If so, what is that part number? Thanks so much.
Answer Amanda, This issue does sound like it would be caused by a faulty control board WP8546219 which would need to be replaced. You will want to check the venting for the drying issue.
