Lee S. for Model Number GEW9250SU0 Electric dryer does not tumble. All controls light up as normal. When I press the START button, I hear a loud click, but the dryer does not start. Dryer heats up. I thought it was the motor, so I ordered a new one and installed it, but the results are the same. Tested the broken belt switch continuity - it functions normally. How do I know if the control board is the problem?
Answer Hello Lee. If the motor is new, and the unit is heating, but not running, then test fro power from the board to the motor. If there is no power there, the board is bad. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3.
