Richard for Model Number Maytag 5000 Series dryer with steam MEDE500VW1 Dryer powers up fine. When I hold the start button, it gives 3 quick beeps and won't start. No circuit breakers have tripped, the vents are cleaned out, and the thermal fuse, thermistor, heating element, thermal cutoff, and thermostat have all tested good. The dryer was purchased in May 2011. What do I test next?
Answer Hello Richard. Look for bad belt switch or door switch on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3.
