Qikkev for Model Number GEW9250PW0 Started dryer this morning heard a electrical snap from dryer tripping breaker. Removed top of dryer. Removed the control board and found the back side was charred and burned around the motor relay. Wanted your opinion if there could be a underlying problem or if replacing the control board would solve my issues. The motor is not froze up and turns freely.
Answer Hello Qikkev, This could have just been a weak solder joint on the board. I would replace the control board WP8546219 and put the unit back into operation if no shorts are detected with a resistance meter, (ohm meter), at the power cord. Read More...
