Ed for Model Number Whirlpool Dryer GEW9200Lq0 Is the Dryer Control Board, Part Number WP8546219, serviceable? I think I shorted the hot wire to the drum light to cabinet ground when I removed the housing to replace the bulb. Hopefully the Dryer Control Board has a fuse on it that tripped, and can be replaced. Other than no light in the drum, the dryer works fine. I've learned the hard way to remember to unplug an appliance before you work on it. Thanks
Answer Ed, the control board is a non serviceable item as far as parts designated by the manufacturer. As far as there not being a light in the drum, you can do a voltage check at the light to see if there is a voltage issue or if the light itself has failed. Read More...
