Wayne for Model Number WED9150WW0 Dryer overheating. I replaced the heating element, thermal fuse, new thermostat kit, installed new vent line, cleaned the blower and filter, and the dryer still overheats and blows the thermal fuse. Everything tested good with my multi meter, even the old parts but I figured I would change everything out. I ran the dryer on air dry and it still produce max amounts of heat where the machine and clothes were barely touchable. I'm thinking it might be the control board. What are your thought? I'm trying to avoid buying a new dryer. Thanks in advance for any suggestion you may have. Wayne
Answer Wayne, the main control WPW10235613 heater relay would need to be tested while the dryer is unplugged. At the relay, the terminals would be tested for continuity to identify if the relay is stuck closed. If there is continuity, the main control would need to be replaced. If there is not continuity, the heating element would need to be tested for continuity to ground. If there is continuity, the grounded out wire or part would need to be identified ad repaired.
