Richwrong for Model Number GEW9250Pw1 Changed the electronic control board twice in response to dryer not going on. First time this fixed the problem for 6 months. Second time fixed the problem for a few hours. I now have the dryness level lrd on in the middle. The auto cycle Normal led is on as well as the Man Cycle Touch up led. The Temp Medium led is also on. Turning the power on and off or pressing the various buttons, or opening and closing the door have no effect on this described state. What is the problem with this dryer?
Answer Richwrong, You may want to try this first, turn the power off, remove the top panel and access the main control board on the left side of the cabinet. Disconnect the P3 and P4 harnesses from the main control board (user interface/key pad harness) and reapply power to the dryer. If the LED's remain illuminated, you'd have a faulty control board WP8546219, you'll also need to check your power supply, Fluctuations and Polarity issues, can "scramble" a conttrol board chip. If you have a "PF" code but the LED's don't illuminate, you'd have a faulty "User Interface" WP8558753. Your Tech data information sheet, should be attached to the backside of the lower access panel, you can use it to circuit test the user interface circuits, if you have a multi meter. Read More...
