Whirlpool WP8558753 Dryer User Interface Control Board OEM Part

The troubleshooting guide indicated a faulty main control board so we ordered one. That did not fix the problem so I called the Appliance Pros help line. They sent out another board, thinking we could have gotten a defective new board. Still the same symptoms so I sent those 2 boards back for full credit and ordered the "interface" board. The dryer has been operating fine since then. It was a pleasure dealing with an American company and talking to people in the USA! Everyone was very helpful and knowledgeable!

By researching on the internet and AppliancePartsPros.com, I figuredou it was the actual control panel that was bad. Ordered a new one and replaced it myself. With your money back guarantee, I knew I could return the part at no cost if it didn't fix the problem. Also had the part, installed it and had the dryer back up and working in 2 days! The repair company said the quickest they could be out was 8 days AND the service call just to get them to come out was as much as the part! Thanks for all the help!

I had to order a replacement for the controller board. The repair went very easily and was successful, but I wasn't please that the controller is the most expensive part in the machine costing my $270 for a curcuit board with some buttons.

Dryer had only a few dim lights on the front and would not power on. Replaced the electronic control board and it seems to have fixed the problem. Glad we could do it ourselves without paying a professional to do it.

Diagnosed problem by checking resistance changes on pins as control buttons are pressed as described in the Whirlpool service manual. The exact part that my dyer needed with is no longer available. The Appliance Part Pro.com website listed 3 other control interfaces that would work with my dryer. I ordered one of the alternate panels and it arrived quickly. Installation was simple and straight forward, except for some button to hole alignment. Ended up having the enlarge the holes on the "Cycle End" and "Temperature" buttons because of a slight misalignment (0.050") to allow them freely move and reset when pressed. Dryer was fixed and running within 48hrs of diagnosis of the problem.
