Mike for Model Number gew9200lw1 Hello, my dryers control panel will lite up as normal, but when I push the start button it makes its normal clicking sound but will not start. Do I need the complete panel or should I look at other things.
Answer Mike, You will want to check to make sure that the door switch is showing continuity when door is closed. You will want to check the exhaust thermal fuse for being blown. It should have continuity and if not it will need to be replaced. If thermal is blown you will also want to check your venting to make sure that the vent is clear from the blower wheel all the way to the outside of home. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
