Larry W for Model Number JJW9630DDS

About 15-20 minutes after (double wall) oven has been running we get a rapid clicking or rattling sound which persists with varying speed/intensity for duration of use and stays on after oven is turned off until fan/cooling sensor stops. This happens when running either top or bottom oven. Nosie is from above upper oven, near center of panel. Not properly measured but oven appears to run hot (we are burning food and my wife says it is also cooking unevenly). I thought it might be the thermostat rapidly clicking on and off rather than much slower to maintain temp. Any thoughts on cause/repair? Thanks!

Answer

Larry, This noise would be caused by a fan blade that is off balance or a bad motor. You would want to pull the fan from the upper section and make sure the blade is clean and test. If this does not correct the issue then replace the fan WP74008383. This fan will come on when the lower oven is turned on. As for the over heating you will want to check the oven sensors for 1090 ohms at room temp. If they do not read properly then replace the sensor.
