Rebecca November 16, 2019 for Model Number JDS9860AAB Hi I have an error code F1-8 on my Jenn Air oven. Will the control panel correct the problem? Panel not working....oven not working. Thanks
1 Answer Rebecca, this error can be with either the touchpad panel WP74005750 or the control assembly WP74006363. It is recommended to inspect the keypad ribbon harness, as well as the keypad for any loose connections or burn marks. If the keypad looks good, it can be tested using a meter. Read More...
Marty August 24, 2018 for Model Number JDS9860AAB The broiler and oven elements would not turn off, generated extreme heat; used circuit breaker to turn off. Will replacing the control module, part AP6010916 Whirlpool, correct the problem?
1 Answer Marty, Yes it will be the control however you will need the relay board and unfortunately it is no longer available.ONly option for you is to use a company such as Corecentric Solutions 866-737-2244/ corecentricsolutions.com and make sure you contact them before you ship your part to know they service that board. Patrick May 23, 2017 for Model Number #JDS9860AAB The heating element broke so I replaced it with a new one. However at the connection on one side of the element it ended up too close to the metal at the back of the oven where the element and wire connector are placed. When I turned on the power and set the oven on bake it immediately arced and welded to the metal. It didn't trip the breaker. I turned off the breaker and repaired the wire connector, and reset it. Now the oven will not heat up when I set it on bake or broil. Everything else works on the control panel, but no heat. Any thoughts?? Patrick
1 Answer Patrick, This issue would be most likely caused by a faulty control board which will be part number WP74006363. Read More...
Larry W September 05, 2016 for Model Number JJW9630DDS About 15-20 minutes after (double wall) oven has been running we get a rapid clicking or rattling sound which persists with varying speed/intensity for duration of use and stays on after oven is turned off until fan/cooling sensor stops. This happens when running either top or bottom oven. Nosie is from above upper oven, near center of panel. Not properly measured but oven appears to run hot (we are burning food and my wife says it is also cooking unevenly). I thought it might be the thermostat rapidly clicking on and off rather than much slower to maintain temp. Any thoughts on cause/repair? Thanks!
1 Answer Larry, This noise would be caused by a fan blade that is off balance or a bad motor. You would want to pull the fan from the upper section and make sure the blade is clean and test. If this does not correct the issue then replace the fan WP74008383. This fan will come on when the lower oven is turned on. As for the over heating you will want to check the oven sensors for 1090 ohms at room temp. If they do not read properly then replace the sensor. Read More...
Don December 03, 2014 for Model Number jds9860aww The digital read out was beeping so i hit cancel button the read out said f1-7 call a service repairman or dial 1800-jennair. Is it the control panel 74005751 or the clock and harness 74006363 both are expensive. I was having problems with setting clock and the temperature prior to it going on the blink today.
1 Answer Don, The F1-7 indicates that the membrane is disconnected. Ensure that the ribbon cable is securely connected, inspect the ribbon cable and connector for shorts, breaks or corrosion. If ok then replace the control board. Read More...

Mike B June 21, 2014 for Model Number Jenn-Air JJW9630DD8 I keep getting a 4d21 on screen and feature not available comes up . Oven wont come on ? What does 4d21 mean ?
1 Answer Mike, The error code 4d21 is a no reverse airflow rotation error. Would have to do with the fan on the unit not working properly or not at all. Would want to check the voltage to the fan to make sure that it is good. If no voltage then replace the control board and if there is voltage replace the fan. Read More...
1 Answer Hello David, Ensure ribbon cable is securely connected, inspect ribbon cable and connector (shorts, breakage, corrosion, etc.). If OK, replace control WP74006363. Read More...
John H. December 26, 2012 for Model Number Jenn-Air JDS9860BDB Hi Guys! Our Jenn-Air JDS9860BDB range is 5 years, 8 months old. The gas top works fine. The clock/day of week works fine. Our keypad is not responsive unless I kill the power, then power up. Everything works for about 1 minute, then goes to just the clock/day display. I'm comfortable with electronics. Getting behind the panel was easy, nothing looked fried, visually checked/cleaned all connectors. Definitions of parts are an issue. I saw the PC board, is that the "ERC" electronic range control? There are also the LCD screen and the well hidden keypad. Which part(s) should I order? Thank you great helpers in the cloud! - JH
1 Answer John, You're on target, mostly. The PC board and display are all inclusive with the ERC(electronic range control) WP8507P232-60. The keypad, is also inclued in the control panel WPW10206070, based on your post, thats the part you're going to need. If you have a multi meter, you can check each keypad for the proper circuitry when pressed, but that test could produce the desired readings and still have a malfunction. Read More...
Al B November 26, 2012 for Model Number JDS9860AAB My Jenn Air slide in unit started beeping and wouldn't stop, so I called Jenn Air and they gave me a number to call. I have called several times with no return call. I shut the curcuit off and on and tried several times. I finally disconected the beeper. The stove worked for about 4 months, and now it will not respond. I get a code of F 1-8. Nobody can tell me what that means. Do I need a new control pad? If I replace the control pad/module, will that fix the oven. The stove is still clean. I hate to get a new stove, if I can fix it. Does the control panel include the module/ sending unit? Can someone please help me out. Thanks, Al
1 Answer AL, " F1-8 Shorted key (pad) in membrane switch. Ensure ribbon cable is securely connected, inspect ribbon cable and connector (shorts, breakage, corrosion, etc.). If OK, replace control." They control panel assembly WP74005750 consists of the panel and the keypads and ribbon. The ERC WP74006363 "module/sending unit" is a separate component. Read More...
