Answer Bob, You have a defrost problem, not a cold control problem. This older refrigerator has the evaporator in the freezer floor, the defrost heater WP60106-34 and thermostat WP52085-28 are located under the freezer compartment floor, and the defrost timer WP68233-1 is located on the back of the refrigerator inside the compressor compartment. You will need to remove the doors, remove the mullion strip between the two compartments and slide the freezer floor out through the front. Remove the styrofoam cover and check for an open heater element or open thermostat, or broken wire. If the heater and thermostat check OK, then replace the defrost timer. Read More...
