Raman P West Chester , PA December 25, 2015 Appliance: Model MAGIC CHEF MODEL RB17KN-OA The ice was building up on both ide of the shelf seperating the refrigerator and freezer section Replaced the heater coil and the Thermostat underneath the freezer floor. 1. Unplug the Power, allow the ice build-up to thaw (Use hair-dryer). 2. Remove the heavy duty Plastic Tray (Freezer Floor) very carefully (the left and right side lips of the tray are snapped behind the sides of the freezer frame, un-snap the lips using flat spatula) . Gently pull out the Tray 3 Remove the plastic shroud (cold air diverter) at the back of freezer section (after removing the screw, tuck-up the shroud to remove. 4. Remove the Foam board. 5. Remove the heavy aluminum foil covering the condensing coil. 6. Surprise! The entire tray of the condensing coil was covered with ice. Using hair dryer, thaw the coil, the water will drip into the tray at the bottom of the refrigerator. Empty-out this tray as often as need to. 7. Disconnect and remove the heating coil located in the middle of the condensing coil. Disconnect and remove the thermostat.
