Sean, Yes, the auto damper should cycle open and closed when the preset temperature in the refrigerator is reached. Check to make sure there isn't anything on the shelf that could re direct the air flow away from the thermistor located in the ceiling in the control console. the doors are closing and sealing properly, you can also find the tech data sheet(located in a plastic bag, on the bottom of the cabinet liner behind the kick plate grille. You can program the control to the test mode and check the damper operation as well as the thermistor resistances,etc. to diagnose the problem.
