Craig for Model Number KUDS30CXSS0 Hello, My Kitchenaid KUDS30CXSS0 has developed problems. the control lock light is always on faintly. Has developed a tendency to stop and not complete cycles. The unit has gotten louder with a with a med level pitch whine when pumping water. Any ideas are appreciated, I can swap parts with the best of them. Thanks!
Answer Hello Craig, This sounds like the either a poor electrical connection or the board is going into failure. First check the wire nuts behind the kick panel inside the electrical connection box. Next, clean the ribbon cable with a pencil eraser, rubbing the eraser only toward the end of the ribbon cable to prevent damage to it. If these don't help, the control WPW10380685 is the next step.
