My control panel was 8530909 the new one I bought is 8564543. they are not even close. the old 1 has a bank of 4 terminals for power and a bank of 4 right beside it. It also has 2 flat blade terminals on the very front. the new 1 does not have either of these. The new 1 has 3 terminals at the back of the unit. Do I need an electrician to rewire something? Please HELP and THANX in advance. Jim
Answer Jim, No you shouldn't need and electrician to rewire something. Several Dishwasher control boards now "substitue" to the WP8564543 / 8564543, including the 8530909. The replacement part should be a "straight across" replacement with one exception " Per Factory This Sub Should Only Have 3 Terminals The P4(Y). Terminal Which Was On The Oriiginal Control Has Been Removed and Not Used On This Control." You'll want to take the P4 connector and some electical tape, and tape the connector back to the wire harness, so it's out of the way and not in contact with the control or metal components. You should be fine from there on out. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, November 15, 2013
