Jeff P. for Model Number KUDP01DLWH5 My control board on my KitchenAid dishwasher burnt out so I replaced it. Now when I'm trying to get it going, there is water in the bottom of the dishwasher that won't drain. I've gone through the diagnostic cycle but the water is still there. After the diagnostic mode, I can start a normal cycle but about 6-10 minutes in, the LCD display jumps to 2 and the Clean LED starts flashing. Does this mean my drain motor is also burnt out? How can I test this for sure? I'm not sure I understand exactly how the diagnostic mode is supposed to be used. Thanks.
Answer Hello Jeff. If the clean light blinks 7 times, then the heater circuit of the dishwasher is bad and you will need to test the heater and the thermostat to see if either one is bad. They should read closed for continuity. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
