Brambo. for Model Number GU1500XTLS1 My dishwasher started getting stuck in the 2 min drain cycle at the start of every cycle. Then I would hit the cancel button and it would work fine. Then I went to start a new cycle two weeks later and the PANEL LOCK light is stuck on. The light will not shut off. I've tried holding the air dry button down and cutting the power to the unit. It stays locked. All the buttons work on the front and are not stuck in position. What part should I replace? The electronic control assembly or the Panel? Thanks for your time.
Answer Hello Brambo. If the unit was going straight to the drain function, it sounds like the board is bad. However, you can test the control panel. When you press a button, you should see continuity on the pins listed for that button. If it does not read correctly, you will need to replace the control panel WP8534840. You can test this with a multi-meter MA-DM1. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter.
