Lalit R for Model Number Whirlpool Quiet Partner 1 I have whirlpool quiet partner 1 dishwasher. For some reason the start button does not work. I reset the machine using the "Heated Dry-Normal" sequence and everything lights up and the machine runs correctly in reset mode. However, after the reset the machine won't start once I hit the start button. I hate to replace the machine...does anyone have a suggestion?
Answer Lalit, The most likely issue is an issue with the keypad assembly. One (or more) of the key pads is "shorted" and causing the control board to "lock up". You'll need to order and install the control panel/keypad assembly. The fact that the dishwasher will operate one cycle after the reset procedure, is a good indication that evrything else is OK.
