The manufacturer does not offer up such information for public use. Check out this blog as it offers some options for NLA parts: https://www.appliancepartspros.com/b/my-part-is-no-longer-available-what-do-i-do-now/?fbclid=IwAR2yNM5JbS4BOBjP4cwle1TAP8xa3iWKXzxfE2vdctesbz8ZzXtn6XV4-Ys

Rod K. for Model Number GU2400XTPS3

During the normal wash, the dishwasher stops mid-cycle with the repeated blinking (7 times) clean status LED. I believe Dishwasher (GU2400XTPS3) control board may be malfunctioning. Dishwasher heater element heats and water pump/drain are functioning. Further, nothing unusual was observed when running the dishwasher in a 16-minute diagnostic mode cycle. When de-energized, the circuit connecting K2 Relay (P6), High-Limit Thermostat, heater element, and door switch (neutral in terminal) measures continuity with a reading of 10.6 to 11.4 ohm(dependent on how much force is applied to tips of multi-meter probes). The spec for the heater element is 10 to 30 ohms, so it appears the wiring, heater, and hi-limit thermostat are intact. Am, I missing something. I’m considering sending the control board to 3rd party repair agency to refurbish the board (since it’s no longer available thru Whirlpool), but would like to confirm the board really needs fixing. Any thoughts on if I'm missing something?

Rod, Thanks for the question!!! Isolate the heater from the circuit and check the resistance on it again. The whole circuit measuring at 10.6 ohms could mean the heater will be less when checked by itself and that would make it out of spec.

Henry for Model Number DU1148XTPQ3

This dishwasher has been sitting in its original box for the past 10 years until last week. I hooked it up and ran it for one cycle without dishes and it ran just fine. Then I loaded up with dishes and it also ran just fine. The following day I loaded it again only this time the rinse and hold button is flashing while the cancel and start buttons do not work. When I repower the unit the green rinse light comes on solid except None of the buttons work save the cancel. I can hear a relay on the panel throw and I am expecting the heater and the water to come on. The water valve is good, The heater element is good as is the fuse. The buttons are opening and closing. So I am thinking it's the control board, likely a relay. Is there something I am missing

1 Answer

Henry, it would be recommended that the panel is checked to identify if the control lock has been activated. If the control lock has not been activated, the keypad would need to be tested to identify if the keys WPW10142948 have failed or if it is the main control WP8564547. The keys would be tested for continuity while the dishwasher power is disconnected. If the keys test good when they measure having continuity when pressed, the main control has failed. If the keys do not show continuity when pressed, the keys have failed. Unfortunately, the manufacturer has discontinued both the main control and the keypad assembly and they are no longer available.

Hello Scott, the clean light flash 7x is an alert for a water heating problem, likely the heater relay contacts are worn out, the relay is part of the control board (WP8564547) which has been discontinued by the manufacturer and is no longer available.

Hello Jason, the manufacturer does not provide a diagnostic for the board itself. If you are getting power to the board and both door switches are good as well as the fuse, then the only culprit can be the board not sending power out. Hope this helps!

Michael, The blinking light is a problem with the heater circuit. You can test for continuity in the element and if passes the control part # WP8564547 would need replaced.

Gene, This issue sounds like it could be stopping to heat the water in the unit. If the water temp is not hot enough it will not advance the cycle. You will want to check to see if the heater is getting voltage at this time which will tell you it is trying to get water to temp. If this checks ok then the issue would likely be with the control board.
