Brian S for Model Number gu2500xtps3 I have model# gu2500xtps3 (quiet partner III) and it has the "blinking 7 times" clean LED. I ran it through the diag cycle several times and it shows no problems. Water is HOT. I run the diag, then open and close the door, then the light stops. SO...I fill the dw up with dirty dishes and run it again. Gets to 52 minutes every time then goes immediately to 2 minutes. Then clean LED blinks 7 times again. since the diag mode shows no problem, what else could it be? Bad heater element? Something clogged somewhere? I dont want to spend $125 for a new board if that isnt going to fix it.
Answer Brian, The clean light blinking 7 times indicates a faulty heater circuit. Look for the heater to be open, an open connection in the heater circuit or faulty heater drive on the control. 1. Unplug the dishwasher or disconnect power. 2 Check all components and connections in the water heating circuit or heat dry circuit. Check resistance of heater. If heater is reading open then replace. If heater checks ok then you will want to check the wiring and components that are in the circuit between heater and control. If you find faulty component then replace or broken wires will need to be repaired. If this checks ok then you will need to replace the control board. Read More...
