Bruce for Model Number MH7115XBQ-5 I think our microwave door switch is bad. The control panel timer will count down the time but the magnetron motor does not hum nor does the microwave heat. The door latch spring seems to have good tension (when I push the latch handles upward). When I pull slightly on the door handle or open the door and press start- the microwave usually starts to work correctly. Do I probably need a door interlock switch kit? Your schematic shows 3 sets of them. I guess I have to test for the bad one(s) using a resistance meter. Does this sound like the probable problem? Thanks- Bruce
Answer Hello Bruce. It sounds like you are on the right track. You will need to test the door switch 4392027 and see if one is bad. If so, you will need to replace the door switch that is bad. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
