Michael R. for Model Number RBD277PDQ1 I have a Whirlpool Double Oven (Model # RBD277PDQ1) wall unit. I ran the self-cleaning cycle and then cleaned out the oven. Since I did this, the upper oven looks like it is working according to the lights on the control panel, but it doesn't heat up at all. Neither element get's the slightest bit warm. Do you think it is a problem with the thermostat or the heating elements? By the way, the bottom oven still works fine. Thanks!
Answer Hello Michael. You will need to test the thermostat WP4450934 on the unit and see if it reads closed. If not, you will need to order and replace the thermostat on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
