Rich for Model Number GMC275PDQ5 Whirlpool Oven Unit: Boiler element working, baking does not. Pulled out bottom element and left hand wire burned off at connector. Unit tripped breaker. Is it a bad element or some other issue that caused short, and now what do I do about hte burned connector. Thanks for your help.
Answer Rich, You will want to check the resistance of the element to make sure that it is good. The resistance should be approximate 28.8 ohms. If it has proper resistance then the part is good.
