Rsorell My dad's whirlpool dryer was not drying, so I took out the heating element and turned the dryer on. It heated right up and then went off. I tried it several more times and it would come on until the sixth time I started the dryer. It then went off after about 10 seconds. Is this the element or the thermostat?
