Laurie for Model Number 76876100 My Kemmore model 76876100 seems to need a new heating element, but I am unable to access it as the heat shield appears to be welding on rather than screwed on. What do I do to get at the heating element?
Answer Hi Laurie. If the heating element part # WP4391960 has shorted to the heater case part # 685457 then you may need both parts as well. Remove the case altogether and try to grab the element with vise grips and gloves. Try yanking it out and see if this works short of replacing the case. Make sure the case has no outer holed where it may have been shorted to the heater so the heater is now exposed and unsafe. Replace it if so. Thank You. Read More...
