Larry for Model Number Maytag MDB6000AWW DISHWASHER My upper and lower wash arm holes occasionally get clogged with bits of plastic or candle wick or metal foil that didn't get rinsed off dishes before they were put in the dishwasher. I thought it might be holes in the filter so I removed it but it looks good, intact, no clogging. How can I block such material from getting into the wash arms? Once a month I remove both arms and pull out the debris from the holes.
Answer Hello Larry. As per manufacturer instruction, scrape the excess off of all dishes before loading them into the dishwasher. If there are children or elderly in the house, have them put dishes in the sink or on the kitchen counter to assure they don't get anything in the unit that isn't recommended. Maybe this will help.
