Hello Larry. As per manufacturer instruction, scrape the excess off of all dishes before loading them into the dishwasher. If there are children or elderly in the house, have them put dishes in the sink or on the kitchen counter to assure they don't get anything in the unit that isn't recommended. Maybe this will help. Have a great day!

Hello Bob. It sounds like the gel is clogging the filter WP99001791. Make sure the water is turned on and is getting hot at the sink before, you start the dishwasher. This will help break the gel down inside the unit. Hope this helps.

Hi Pat. This is the filter screen that is right below the top filter hsg. You will do yourself a large favor by using a shop vac, towels and pick tools to clean the entire unit. Remove the racks and the wash arms. Use a pick tool to flush out the wash arms under the sink. Get all the debris out from jet holes. Then you will need to remove all sump hsg screws aside one by one with all the parts so you can reassemble them correctly. The filter screen will be clogged. Going further down into the unit then you will remove the staggered thin washers and get into the rinse arm assy. Expect this to be clogged altogether. You will need to use the pick tools to remove all the debris out from the side vertical slots. 3 more parts from this is the impeller assy. that will need to be checked for clogged or broken vanes. This is part # WP6-915435 . Below this is the chopper blade assy. part # 912310. This may be chewed up and need to be replaced. Thank You.
