Jim for Model Number 106.56246400 The ice/water dispenser on my refrigerator does not have the screws you show in your video. I have been trying to pry off the cover with a putty knife at various locations and put significant pressure on in with no success. Am I just not trying hard enough or is there a finesse solution that I am missing (i.e. a particular location to apply pressure to release a tab)
Answer Jim, I wish there was a finesse move to remove this and i will say there is a high probability of a tab breaking so proceed with caution. I would remove the lower drip tray and use a putty knife between the door and cover pressing down and out while at the same time pushing down at the top of the housing cover to relieve some pressure.
