Steve for Model Number KUDP01FLSS3 Not knowing any better, I pulled on the float and the bottom "retainer flange" broke off. I stuck the float back in the standpipe and ran a cycle assuming it would overflow but it did not. Is the purpose of the float to keep garbage out of the standpipe? Trying to decide if I need to buy a new assembly or let it ride.
