James for Model Number KUD530IVSSE3 Is the retainer supposed to come off the shaft of the float, or is it supposed to be permanently fixed to the bottom of the float shaft? Also, I have had a very large amount of water leak thru the stand pipe that the float sits in - has ruined the hardware flooring under the unit and I have no idea how long it has been leaking. It seems the unit fills OK but it is during the wash/rinse cycle that the leaking occurs right thru the float shaft pipe. Could this leak be explained at all by a malfunctioning microswitch? I assume the float activates the switch to turn the water off during filling. Does the fact that the water does in fact stop filling mean the microswitch and float are operating correctly? Thanks
Answer Hello James. The retainer is fixed. If broke, replace the float. If it is good, either the micro-switch is bad or the water valve is not shutting off quick enough. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Wednesday, June 25, 2014
