Mike for Model Number GU2475XTVY2

Good Morning My Dishwasher on adaptive and normal wash, fills with water, sprays the water on the 2nd round of spraying it drains the water while spinning, once that is done it does nothing i'm assuming it should be filling up with water again, and then the sounds like it runs the pump/spray motor with the dishwasher empty (at this point i manually added hot water) goes through it's cycle, after draining it fills with water automatically, again does 1 cycle stops for a few sec's starts spraying again while draining it's water. stops again thinking this is where it would fill up with clean water again starts trying to rinse with no water in the basin (Manually added water at this point) then the rinse cycle went for over an hour before i shut it off. I changed the control board on the advise of a technician nothing changed. My Dishwasher model is GU2475XTVY2 Any advise will be greatly appreciated, sorry for the long explanation Mike

Answer

Mike, The float and shaft will be a good place to start, but check the area around the float and the bottom of the tub for small objects or debris that could be interfering with the rise and fall of the float. Next check the float switch and lever and make sure everything under the tub/behind the kickplate is properly aligned and activating properly. Lastly, if all's OK, you'll need to check the wiring and connections from the control board to the float switch and from the switch to the fill valve.
