Hope for Model Number Whirlpool WTW57ESVW1 washing machine Almost 3-year old washing machine stopped between wash and rinse cycle, and would not fill with water. Tried all different wash cycles, extra rinse cycle, etc. to try to get water to enter. None - no sounds, nothing. The spin cycles DO work. Note: Switch-Sen replaced when machine was 1.5 years old. What part(s) should I order to try to fix myself ? Am thinking water inlet valve? Another Switch-Sen? Or should I have it hauled away? Thank you.
Answer Hello Hope, You will want to test to see if you are getting power to the water valve when the unit calls for water. If there is 120 vac then the valve may be bad. Check to make sure that the screen in the valve is not clogged. If this checks ok then replace the valve. Also check to make sure that the pressure hose is not clogged or kinked. Check to the lid switch for continuity with the door closed. If no continuity then you would need to replace the lid switch. Read More...
